A Tuesday, under a sink
Four beats. One minute.
Nothing to install and nothing to learn. You dial one divert code once; after that this is all that happens.
Your phone rings. Your hands are wet.
A new customer, probably. You can't get to it, and by the time you could, they'd have rung the next plumber on the list.
Twenty seconds later, we pick up in your name.
The receptionist says it's an assistant for your business, that you can't get to the phone, and asks who's calling and what they need.
It asks what you'd ask.
Which property, since when, how urgent, and when's a good time to ring back. Then it reads it back and says goodbye. Calls are kept short.
It's on WhatsApp before you're out from under the sink.
Name, number, reason, urgency, callback time — and the recording if you want to hear it. One message per missed call.

Who it's for
Not a plumber? Same receptionist.

Not on the list? It doesn't matter. The receptionist isn't built for one trade. It answers in your business's name, works out what the call is about from what the caller says, and asks the follow-ups your customer would expect: an address, a make and model, a date, how many people.
Your number
Keep yours. Add one if you like.
Most people need nothing new: the shared number is included. A number of your own is for the van, the website and the people who shouldn't have your personal mobile.
Divert your mobile to our shared number
Your network tells us which number the call came from, so the receptionist knows it's for you and answers in your business's name. Nobody ever sees the shared number.
Your own UK number, on the van
A number that's yours to advertise. It rings your mobile first and only hands over to the receptionist if you don't pick up. Add or drop it from your account any time.

Questions
The four that matter.
Will it work on my network?
Most UK networks pass on the number a call was diverted from, which is how we know a message is yours on the shared number. A few don't. You tell us your network when you sign up; if your test call doesn't come through, one click refunds everything you've paid.
What exactly does the caller hear?
That it's an automated assistant for your business, that you can't get to the phone, and that the call is recorded. It asks who's calling and what they need, checks urgency and a good time to call, reads it back, and says goodbye. It works the same for a plumber, an estate agent or a dog groomer.
What happens to my callers' data?
Recordings and transcripts are stored in the UK/EU and deleted after 90 days by default. Callers can ask for their data to be exported or erased, and we handle it.
How do I stop it?
Dial ##004# to cancel the divert any time, and cancel the plan from your account. Any own number comes back to us and you aren't billed again.
